Chemical structure of medium-scale liquid pool fires

This work documents a series of time-averaged local gas species measurements made throughout the centerline profile 30 cm methanol, ethanol, and acetone pool fires steadily burning in quiescent environment. All were obtained using extractive sampling, then analyzed chromatograph equipped with mass spectrometer detector (GC/MS). The volume fraction each was calculated via number moles identified by GC/MS at location along fire's centerline. Soot fractions also measured during gas-sampling process. soot compared different locations for three fuels.
